Offre de post-doctorat sur l’écologie de l’ADN et l’ARN environnemental en milieu aquatique

Le Laboratoire Bernatchez de l’Université Laval (Québec, Canada) est actuellement à la recherche d’un.e candidat.e au postdoctorat pour étudier expérimentalement l’écologie de l’ADN environnemental (ADNe) et de l’ARN environnemental (ARNe) en milieu aquatique pour comprendre comment la biologie d’une espèce et son interaction avec l’environnement affectent la probabilité de détection de ses molécules d’ADN\ARN. Les travaux réalisés pourront porter sur les facteurs qui influencent l’origine (c’est-à-dire le taux de production), l’état (c’est-à-dire la nature des tailles de particules à partir desquelles les molécules sont récupérées) et le sort (c’est-à-dire le taux de dégradation) de l’ADNe et l’ARNe.

Le poste peut être renouvelé sur une période de 3 ans au salaire de 50,000$ CDN/an.
La date de début est fixée au 1 janvier 2022, mais il serait possible de débuter avant.

Postdoctoral position to study the ecology of environmental DNA (eDNA) and environmental RNA (eRNA) in aquatic environments

The Bernatchez Lab. at Laval University (Quebec, Canada) is currently looking for a postdoctoral candidate to experimentally study the ecology of environmental DNA (eDNA) and environmental RNA (eRNA ) in aquatic environments to understand how the biology of a species and its interaction with the environment affect the probability of detection of its DNA/RNA molecules. The work carried out may relate to the factors which influence the origin (i.e. the production rate), the state (i.e. the nature of the particle sizes from which the molecules are recovered) and the fate (i.e. rate of degradation) of eDNA and eRNA.

The position can be renewed over a period of 3 years at a salary of $ 50,000 CDN / year.

The start date is set for January 1, 2022, but it would be possible to start earlier.
