Seed Funding

This fund is intended for new members in the University Researcher category, that is, university members in Quebec who are at the beginning of their careers (having obtained their first position less than 7 years ago).


Its purpose is to support the integration of new members into the network by facilitating the launch of a joint project.

The amount of $6,000 is primarily intended for student scholarships (master’s, doctoral, postdoctoral) but may also be used to hire qualified personnel. It must be used within the first year of joining the group.

To access this fund, simply send an email to raq-coordination@uqar.ca including the following information:

  • The title of the project

  • The name(s) of the RAQ member(s) you will be collaborating with

  • A brief description of the project

  • An explanation of how the project fits within our scientific program

  • A description of how the funds will be used
